Surfboards, pets & luggage on charter flights

Charter aircraft are small, so a little planning around luggage, boards and pets goes a long way. The golden rule: tell us what you are bringing when you book, and we assign the right plane. Here is everything you need to know.

Luggage allowances

Each passenger has a standard allowance, and total weight genuinely matters on small aircraft. Pack light and favour soft duffel bags over hard cases — they stow far more easily and let us load more. If your group is travelling heavy, we can plan for a larger aircraft.

Surfboards and sports gear

Boards, golf clubs, dive gear and fishing tackle can all fly, but they must be declared in advance so we plan capacity and, if needed, assign a bigger plane. Heading to Tamarindo, Nosara or Golfito (for Pavones)? Mention your quiver and board lengths when booking — more in surfing Costa Rica.

Travelling with pets

Pets are welcome on most charters with advance notice. Share the species, size and carrier dimensions so we can confirm and prepare the cabin. Many families fly with dogs to the beach this way.

Special cargo

Wedding dresses, instruments, medical equipment, drones and business samples are all manageable — just flag anything bulky, fragile or sensitive ahead of time.

Frequently asked questions

Can I bring a surfboard?

Yes, with advance notice so we assign an aircraft with the right capacity. Tell us your board lengths when booking.

Are pets allowed on charters?

Most charters welcome pets with prior arrangement — share your pet’s size and carrier and we will confirm.

Is there a luggage weight limit?

Yes, allowances are modest on small aircraft. Soft bags help, and we can upsize the aircraft for heavier groups.

Ready to skip the drive?

Charter the whole aircraft and split the cost — private flights for the price of a regular ticket, booked in minutes.
