SANSACosta Rica RoutesDestinations
SANSA’s network covers the most sought-after destinations in Costa Rica’s adventure tourism map. Here’s what to expect at each destination and how the SANSA experience compares to arriving by private charter.
SJO / SYQ → Quepos (XQP): Manuel Antonio gateway
The most popular SANSA route — 25 minutes versus a 3-hour drive. Quepos airport is 7km from Manuel Antonio National Park. SANSA typically operates 2–3 daily flights. AeroRide’s private charter to XQP departs when you’re ready, carries more luggage and can continue the same day to Golfito or the Osa Peninsula.
SJO → Drake Bay (DRK): Corcovado’s remote entrance
SANSA serves Drake Bay with one or two daily flights — a 55-minute hop over the Talamanca mountains to a grass airstrip above the bay. The flight itself is spectacular. Private charter from SJO to DRK on AeroRide offers the same route on demand, with the ability to continue directly to Puerto Jiménez or Golfito on the same day.
SJO → Tortuguero (TTQ): No-road access
Tortuguero is accessible only by air or boat, making SANSA’s daily flight the fastest connection. Flight time is 35 minutes. In green sea turtle nesting season (July–October), SANSA flights sell out weeks in advance. AeroRide’s private charter to TTQ is available on-demand with no advance booking pressure.
