Ten point three nautical miles. Nineteen kilometres. It is the shortest sector in our entire catalogue, ahead of San Pedro–Caye Caulker in Belize. And it is, on top of that, an international flight. Quoted per aircraft on request.

Let us start by telling you when not to fly
Ten nautical miles is shorter than plenty of taxi rides. Time in the air is a footnote: the whole clock goes on formalities, and they are real formalities, because you cross from Dutch territory into a British Overseas Territory.
There is also a scheduled sea service between the two islands, cheaper and perfectly sensible for a traveller without a tight schedule or much luggage.
Flying earns its place in three specific cases, not in general:
Same-day connection. If you land at SXM off a long-haul flight and want to be in Anguilla that afternoon, depending on ferry timetables leaves a thin margin. Bulky baggage. Dive kit, golf clubs, luggage for a long stay. A closed group setting its own hours. When the cost splits several ways and you fix the time.
Outside those three, we would be selling you a flight you do not need.
Ground services at these fields are limited and vary by aerodrome and by hour.
Clayton J. Lloyd Airport (AXA)
It is the only airport in Anguilla, public, government operated, beside The Valley, the capital. It sits at 127 feet elevation and houses the Anguilla Outstation of the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority.
It was called Wallblake Airport and took its current name on 4 July 2010, after the first Anguillan aviator. Older references using the previous name still circulate, much as they do with the Flores ICAO code.
On the runway: it is 10/28, roughly 30 metres wide. The sources we consulted do not agree on its length — they give 5,400, 5,456 and 5,462 feet, all around 1,665 metres. We are not going to publish an exact figure we cannot confirm. For what matters here, the runway is not the limiting factor.
Formalities: the real cost of the trip
AXA is listed as an airport of entry, and a landing permit may be required depending on the type of operation. That is the point to settle before looking at timetables: We confirm the applicable landing permit in the quote, because it changes with the date and the operation.
The remaining requirements — documentation, deadlines, fees and service hours at both ends — sit in Departure and entry formalities vary by country and need lead time; we coordinate them with every passenger’s details.
It bears repeating: on a ten-nautical-mile sector, the paperwork takes far longer than the flight. A traveller who books twenty-four hours ahead has a different experience from one who tries the same morning.
The aircraft
With 4–12 seats, the fare covers the whole aircraft and does not vary with passenger count. Aircraft assigned on confirmation · baggage confirmed at booking by weight and volume
At this distance no range characteristic comes into play at all. The useful conversation is capacity and baggage. The specific aircraft is assigned on confirmation, based on passenger count, baggage and the destination field.

How long does it take to fly from St Maarten to Anguilla?
The flight is 10.3 nautical miles. The real duration of the trip is set by departure and entry formalities, not by the air.
